The “Untangling People Flow” LiDAR data campaign offers insights into passenger dynamics, optimizing elevators, self-service check-ins, and security gates to enhance the curb-to-gate experience.

Kumpula campus at the University of Helsinki, hosting 6,000 students and 1,000 staff, is a vibrant hub. The “Untangling People Flow” project tracks movement and facility use with digital tools. Activity peaks in autumn and spring, dropping in summer as students finish studies or begin internships, emphasizing the need for seasonal service and facility management planning.
